How mindful are you?
Mindfulness is the practice of centering your attention in the here and now and accepting what you notice about your thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations without interpretation or judgement. It is a practice that utilizes breathing methods, relaxation, and guided imagery as a means for relaxing the mind and body and reducing stress. Research also shows that mindfulness improves mental health by improving sleep, reducing anxiety, depression and somatic distress.
Researchers at La Salle University and Drexel University have developed a mindfulness scale that can help you learn more about mindfulness, access how much you practice mindfulness, and how you can integrate it more into your life.
